The Aesculapian Society (AS) was first organized by the medical students of Queen's University in 1872, and has remained a strong voice for Queen’s medical students ever since. All students registered in the School of Medicine become members of the Society, which includes as honorary members all graduates in Medicine and members of the School of Medicine at Queen's University.

2011 Dr. Margaret Angus Research Fellowship Evening Presentation by Jeff Sobil
Dr. Margaret Angus Research Fellow Jeff Sobil's presentation will explore the history of prosthetic limbs and the unique role that they have played within rehabilitation medicine, national identity and discourses on economics, morality, gender, art and science.
Location: At the Glaxo Wellcome Clinical Education Centre, Louise D. Acton Building, 31 George St., Queen's University
Refreshments will follow.

A Lecture by Dr. Lola Cuddy & Dr. Jacalyn Duffin
Featuring Performances by The Queen‚s Medical School Choir
Is musical memory spared over other memories in people with dementia? Lola Cuddy and Jacalyn Duffin have been testing that idea for eight years. They will describe how this prize-winning research began with curiosity about a single patient and grew into a large study involving more than fifty people with dementia and hundreds of controls. You will have a chance to test your own skills and, of course, sing along.
Location: At Etherington Auditorium, 94 Stuart St., Queen's University. // Live music & refreshments will follow at the Museum of Health Care, 32 George St.
